Donald Trump suspended most tariffs on Canadian and Mexican products complying with the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) until April 2nd. He also lowered tariffs on potash to 10%. Canada, in turn, will postpone imposing the second round of tariffs on $125 billion of U.S. goods until April 2nd. Despite this partial rollback, tariffs on some Canadian exports remain, and new tariffs on aluminum and steel are expected to take effect globally on March 12th.
